Chris and I took Rosemary to a lavender festival today up in Dahlonega. It was just at a small “farm,” which was really more like a house with a large garden. But, it met all the criteria of an easy outing with Rosemary, so we were happy to go:
- Decently long drive – Rosemary likes car rides (she sleeps), so an hour long drive is a welcome, peaceful journey…even with traffic!
- Outside – If Rosemary starts crying, no one will really care
- Short Activity – The farm didn’t list a ton of things being offered. There were 3 or 4 craft booths and an option to cut lavender (which we didn’t do because the line was so long). All in all, we were there for about 30-40 minutes, which is about what she can normally handle.
Chris and I listened to Hamilton on the drive (my new favorite past time while driving Rosemary around) and she slept peacefully! In all honesty, she slept 90% of the time we were there and barely cracked open her eyes for a few photos 🙂
