Last year, we didn’t decorate for Christmas. We had recently moved into the house and hadn’t decorated anything yet, so it felt silly to put up any temporary decorations for Christmas. Plus, I was pregnant and didn’t feel like exerting extra energy. But this year, we were feeling more festive and wanted to go all out. So we decided to cut our own Christmas tree! We visited Thompson Tree Farm on the first day it was open (before Thanksgiving…gasp!) and cut the most beautiful tree! It’s a Murray Cypress, so it’s a little softer than the Frasier Firs that we had bought in prior years. I hope this is a new tradition!
